Single use plastic

A study by Zero Waste Europe found that the beauty sector generated over 142 billion units of packaging in 2018.

The vast majority of which found its way to either a landfill or the ocean. Not only is this incredibly harmful to wildlife, but the chemical usage can have a devastating effect on our health. Many people assume plastic slowly disintegrates until it simply disappears, but the truth is much worse.  As plastic breaks apart, microplastics are formed – as the name suggests, these are tiny plastic pieces, often under 5mm long. Microplastics then make their way into our water streams, ending up being ingested by wildlife, or us humans!
